I was
born and raised on a farm in Sweden, moved to the United States in 1964,
and started working in a kennel in California learning how to groom and
train dogs. When I went to my first dog show in 1972, I was hooked.
In 1974, I
had my first silver toy poodle named "Tinker" who I bred with my boss's
silver female from the famous Sassafras Kennel. In 1974, we
moved to Montana and I purchased my foundation stock of silver toy poodles
from the Sassafras Kennel and built my own grooming, boarding and training
facility. For 21 years I specialized in silver toy poodles and bred
and handled many champions. I purchased my first show quality Great
Dane in 1975 from the well known Von Riesenhoff Kennel in Texas and
continued to produce top producing/winning lines with quite a few
champions. I bred my last litter of Great Danes in 1988.
I was
incredibly impressed with Dobermans and went to a few shows with Mary
Rodgers and Moe Miagawa. I met Eileen Flores a few years later and
in 1994, purchased my first 3 1/2 month old Doberman female named
"Heather," Crestline's NVO' Marienburg, the beginning of Crestline
Dobermans. She was a Dexter vom Franckenhorst granddaughter.
"Heather" was bred to Ch. Marienburg's Sugar Ray v Esquire, a Dexter vom
Franckenhorst triple great grandson. I kept a black male, Can. Ch.
Crestline's Ticket to Ride and a black female, Can. Ch. Crestline's Indian
Princess. In 1997, I was fortunate enough, thanks to Mary Rodgers,
to purchase Can. Ch. Marienburg's Fair Trade, aka "Traci" from Cherie
Holmes in Canada on a co-ownership. "Traci" was #1 puppy in Canada
while campaigned and also Top Producing Dam in 2001. "Traci's" sire
is Ch. Bruda Teller of Tales, top winning Doberman in 1992 and producer of
22 champions. "Teller" was a Dexter vom Franckenhorst son. We
bred "Traci" to Ch. Marienburg's RepoMan in October 1999. "RepoMan"
was the #1 Doberman in the year 2000 and #2 in 2001. In 2002, he was
Best of Breed in the DPCA National. "RepoMan" produced
over 20
American Champions. We had 9 gorgeous puppies of which I kept two, Am.
Can. Ch. Crestline's Montana Trapper, aka "Trapper" and Am. Can. Ch.
Crestline's Calendar Girl, aka "Callie."
"Trapper"
has sired several outstanding puppies and I have kept two for my future
breeding program. Their dam is Can. Ch. Crestline's Montana Morning
aka "Tana." A red female, Crestline's Honky Tonk
Angel aka "Gracie" and a red male, Crestlaine's Killian's Red v Topshelf
aka "Killian," will be campaigned in the spring of 2006. Both are
vWD clear which I am very excited about.
"Callie" and "Dino's" litter
was born February 1, 2005. The first litter for both --- three males
and one female --- very outstanding puppies ! I kept the female,
Crestline's Center Fold aka "Marilyn," and she is exceptional and will be
campaigned in 2006. We co-own her brother, Crestline's Many Tanks
aka "Tank" with Krissy Goltz. He will be campaigned as well.
